Wine University

Effingham Manor Wine University

February 20, March 20
1:00 pm and 3:00 pm

We are excited to introduce our new Effingham Manor Wine University. This winter, we are hosting a series of informational classes for you to enjoy, learn and better understand our wines. Resident expert Frank Reilly will guide you through different lessons, each providing an experience to be enjoyed by the first timer or most learned expert.

This semester of Effingham Manor Wine University will feature classes are February 20 and March 20, with two sessions of 60-90 minutes each date at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

Each class will be $50 per guest and is limited to 24 per session. A small plate of cheese and fruit will accompany the course.

For February 20, it's a Blind Tasting!

We will go into the library to sample wines from throughout Effingham history. The catch is, you won't know what they are. Try to choose not only the vintage, but the varietal. Your professor is wine expert, Frank Reilly, who will teach you what to look for, and what to taste and smell for when trying to decipher wines blindly.
