Viognier – Effingham Wine University

This month’s class is all about Viognier.

A wine we know today because of pirates, popes, and Dennis Horton from Virginia. The Professor will talk about the history, styles, and techniques of Viogniers from France (the mother lode) Virginia (the place of the big rebirth), and California (of course!). Learn by doing is our motto, so we’ll learn about sparkling examples, orange examples, blended examples, and very innovative examples of this variety – and of course taste them.

Join us in the Barrel Room at 1PM. Some small bites will be paired with the 6 Vio’s we’ll sample. As always, it’s 50 degrees in the barrel room so dress to enjoy the wine in comfort.
